Betty 1850 upgrade

Beitragvon SpinMark » 21.02.2014, 15:52

Hi All
I have just upgraded the Betty 1850Lm with the current 2013 upgrade and the difference is astounding! - I have been trying to work my way round the German language part of the site but am having difficulties - Am I right that the 150Lm will now be upgraded to around 2600Lm - it certainly looks as thou it might?

Also what is the power consumption in Watts at this new full power

If it is as good as it seems you are "under selling" it on the website as it looks as though you are only talking about a 400Lm increase (2600-3000) not a 750Lm increase

Can you confirm please

Thanks

Mark

Hallo,
according to my knowledge you are right. BTW I had the same effect that originalyy started with 1200 lm five or six years ago.
I had documented the effect of the latest upgrade here http://forum.lupine.de/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=4052&start=45#p27913.
It is really amazing.

I believe the 1850 is suppose to be 2600 and the 2600 is now 3200. I have both the 1850 and 2600 Betty's and there is a big difference between them in output. Plus the 1850 is 22° and the 2600 is 26°

The power consumption doesn't change. The upgrade only changes the LED-board, not the controller.

I just put the 2013 Betty upgrade into my 2600 lumen Betty and it was still a big difference. Some have said it isn't worth is, but seeing is believing to me and I believe it was worth the cost. Considering you can't get a high quality flashlight that puts out the 400+ lumens gained with the upgrade for much less I would say it is money well spent. Unless of course, there is a major gain in led technology very soon and another upgrade kit is released soon! I swapped my 2600 lumen board and lens into my Betty 1850 lumen and now have 2200 lumen in that. Also a nice gain, though not quite as noticeable to the eye. Still worth it and free.

9600 lumens of fun!
