SL AF GoPro Adapter broken

I almost got hurt because of the breakage of a lupine piece !!
The SL AF7 detached from the gopro mount and swung next to my front wheel. I was driving at around 40km / h. I was able to catch the SL AF7 with my hand and I have avoided a disaster. Fortunately it was daylight !!
I purchased this part on July 22, 2020 (order 48456). It's not normal for this part to break like that.
Now I'm afraid to use a new part. If it breaks again in the middle of a night descent, I could be seriously injured. Is there a way of securing in case of breakage?
