To make it clear:
The reaction in older versions did happen when you PRESS the switch-button. So switch the light mode happened immedeately at the event button PRESSED.
Now, obviously, the reaction starts when you RELEASE the button.
So now the control unit counts the milliseconds between PRESS button and RELEASE button events. If the timeframe is below a certain limit it is considered to be a simple CLKICK so it switches the intensity. If the time exceeds a certain limit, the system does not even have to wait for the RELEASE of the button - it is certain that you want to excecute a LONG CLICK - so it can switch OFF the light.
